FIREARM SECURITY

It is of utmost importance that anyone who owns a firearm understands it is a right and responsibility that must never be taken lightly. Gun owners must always be absolutely certain that all weapons are always safe and secure from potential misuse by family members and others. This responsibility is even more crucial when children are in the home. Whether it is the result of poor judgment, forgetfulness, or simply human error, any oversight can be tragic.

The Village of Spring Grove Ordinance - Discharging of Firearms:

It shall be unlawful to discharge any firearms including but not limited to air guns, BB guns, and paint guns in the Village; provided that this section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law to discharge a firearm in the performance of his duty, nor to any citizen to discharge a firearm when lawfully defending his person or property.

How do I obtain a FOID (Firearm Owner’s Identification Card)?
