ACCIDENT REPORTS

Copies of accident reports can be obtained either by using the LexisNexis online system, or by submitting a request to the Spring Grove Police Department.  The LexisNexis system requires users to create an account and make payments via an online portal.

The easier and most preferred method is to submit the request form below.  Once a copy of the requested report has been approved by a supervisor we will notify you via the email address provided. We do not mail accident reports. You must stop at the department during regular business hours to pick up a copy of the requested report.

The fees for accident reports are as follows and must be paid at the time the report is picked up:

  • Accidents on public roadways: $5.00

  • Accidents on private property: $25.00

Availability

Generally accident reports are available within 72 hours, however, there are a number of factors that affect when accident reports can be made available.  The primary delay in completing accident reports is the failure of an involved party to provide insurance information at the scene of the incident.  Other factors are accidents that involve serious injuries, death, or require additional investigation.

Complete the form below and click "submit".  ONCE PAYMENT IS RECEIVED, We will notify you via email when your report is available for pickup.

If you do not have an email address, please call the Spring Grove Police Department at the number below and speak to the Records Manager to order a copy of an accident via telephone.
